What browser do you use? Do you know that 10 years ago there are only two popular browser which is Netscape and Internet Explorer. Now there are a lot of kinds of browser on earth but just few of them are used by a lot of people. Below some popular browsers you may or may not know. Maybe you’ve used them for a while or just try some of them. The list is displayed in alphabet
Avant Browser
Avant Browser is another multitab and faster browser on earth that exist before Firefox. It built in with popup blocker, rss/atom reader, and also search engine. You can customize the skin as you like.
Chrome
Chrome that develops by Google is youngest player on web browser. It offer simple interface with fast program loading and load website. By default Chrome can be installed by online. It means you download small file and the installer file will download all necessary file that need to run Chrome on your computer. If you don’t have internet connection or don’t want to wait when you install Chrome you can download Chrome offline installer.
Firefox
In my opinion, right now Firefox is good browser on Earth. It offer tab since earlier version, fast loading and also can display website fast. You can feel how fast firefox if you online using dial up connection. As open source it offer many theme and add on to make your firefox more beautiful.
Flock
Flock is designed for social web browser that will help you access your social website easier. It means Flock is built in with any social website on internet like facebook, twitter, picasa, flickr, youtube, blogspot, gmail, etc. You can see your facebook friend’s status on sidebar and continue browsing. You can also upload your image by drag and drop into sidebar.
Internet Explorer
Internet Explorer became popular since it built in Windows Operating System. Although there are better browser then Internet Explorer, until now many people still use Internet Explorer as their default browser. Some reasons are they don’t know any browser except Internet Explorer, they’re lazy to find out alternative browser, or they’re Microsoft addict who don’t want to use any product except from Microsoft.
Maxthon
Maxthon has much feature to help you browsing fast and comfortable. One feature that I like is url alias. You give a name for your favorite site then call the name on your browser and it will call the url. Another feature is RSS reader, multitab, screen capture, etc.
Netscape
If you are internet user fo a long time you probably now the oldest web browser, Netscape Navigator. At earlier time Netscape became popular browser until Microsoft include Internet Explorer on their Windows operating system. Then people like to use Internet Explorer leave Netscape Navigator. But few people still love using Netscape. Netscape has been discontinued because their team now develop Firefox but you can still download and use Netscape or notalgic by use Netscape theme and addon on Firefox.
Opera
Before firefox exist, Opera is an alternative for people who don’t like slow connection on Internet Explorer and long time program loading on Netscape. Opera offer tab browser and fast on connection and loading. Opera also built with email, chatting, and rss. You can make your Opera more powerful by adding some widget.
Safari
Safari is famous browser for Macintosh user. Now Safari also can be used by Windows user. According to Apple site, Safari is fastest then Internet Explorer and Firefox
SeaMonkey
SeaMonkey is all-in-one internet application suit (Internet browser, email & newsgroup client with an included web feed reader, HTML editor, IRC chat and web development tools) It’s like popular software that made by Netscape and Mozilla. SeaMonkey is developed by Mozilla who also develop Firefox.
