My name is Tom. I just gtaduated fom college. I majored in English. And I am working in a online shoping store nameed www.watchinstyle.com. It was a professional whole shoppiong and retailer of Nike, Adidas, Puma, LV, Bape and other brand name shoes and chothes website. I worked in the customer service department because of the advantage of my spoken English.
During my college, I spent a lot of time on practicing my oral English. I often spoken to our foreign teaches from United States. They are very nice guys. And during that time when I was studying English, there are some mistakes I made really impressed me.
One day, when Ｉ was just entered into my college, I chose Chinese as my major. Because I like Chinese very much. But I also like English better. So I spent most of my time on studying English. I study English follow Liyang Cray English. And I persisted to shout English in the pavilion in the certer of mirror lake in out college every noon. One year later,On www.watchinstyle.com I Changed my department, and begain to study English as a major. And before that there was a little story between me and the foreign teacher.
One day, I came over to the foreign teacher. When I entered his room, after a few minutes' taling, I noticed that the sheet on his bed was very beautiful. And I expressed my praise at once"The shit on your bed was very beautiful." The foreign teacher was shocked when he heard my word. He checked his sheet at once, he suposed that maby his pet dog has just shit on his bed and he didn't notice it and I just notice him in a humorous way. But he didn't find anything on his bed. So he was confused by my words. And me too. Then I asked him"Where did you buy it?"And at that time he begain to realized that I was talking about his sheet. And after he told me that both of us were laughing. Then he told me that he just bought from a super market in the downtown. And he also bought a pair of Nike anniversary shoes from there.
Then he told me that I have confused the two words"sheet"and "shit", because they are pronuncing very familar. And after that I begain to realize how important the pronunciation is. because, if you can't pronounce each words correctl. It will be difficult for other people to understand you. And sometimes, it may caused some jokes just because of your poor pronunciation.
