Unlike OpenOffice, Microsoft Office doesn’t come with capability to export their document to PDF. You must install addon file to make Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, or Powerpoint) can export your work into PDF. But remember, you can’t export from “Save” file option but “Print” option. On print option choose print using your addon.
There are some free software that allow you to create PDF from Microsoft Office. One of them is PDF Creator. PDF Creator can save document in PDF and also another format like PNB, BMP, or TXT.
Below step by step how to use PDF Creator to Export Document from Microsoft Office into PDF
- After create project click File -> Print to export into PDF

Choose PDF Creator from printer name option on popup windows then click OK
After that you will see popup option that contain filename, datecreation, author, and another option that you can change before export the document.
If you want to automatically see the result after save check on option “After saving open the document with the default program”- If you are sure then click “Save”
- Now choose where folder, what name, and what format do you want to export. It’s like popup windows that appears when you want to save document from Microsoft Office.
- Then wait until the process complete. If you check option “After saving open the document with the default program” the the PDF will be open on your favorite PDF reader.
