It’s an accident. You didn’t realize installed another search engine on your firefox browser when you installed any program on your PC. This will change your default firefox search engine (example Google) to another search engine. You want to change back your default search engine to Google or another search engine that you like. But how to change default search engine on Firefox?
For your information, the default search engine is different with search engine that user use on Firefox search bar. If you want to change order search engine on search bar then you just need to click the drop down arrow next to the search engine icon and select a search engine (your current default search engine in bold). Firefox will remember your choice and use the selected search engine from now on (until you change it again).

The default search engine here is the search engine that will be used if user type any keywords on address bar and type enter. You usually see Google search when you try to search from url address bar. But how the the search engine is not Google?
Below step by step how to change default search engine on Firefox
Open your Firefox
Type about:config on url address bar. (if you doing it for the first time, you may have to click I’ll be careful, I promise! button)
Inside of the filter search box, type in:
keyword.url
Double click on this entry. It will open a dialog where you can edit the ‘keyword.url’ string. Change this string to whatever you want it to be. For example if you want to make Google as your defaulthttp://www.melesat.com/wp-content/uploads/default-search-engine.jpg search engine the type this
http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=navclient&gfns=1&q=
Restart your Firefox and try to search something using address bar. Now you have google or another search engine that you choice as default search engine.
