You want to create another partition on your hardisk but you don’t have software to do that. Don’t worry, Windows XP has equip with software that you can use to create or modify partion on your hardisk. It call Disk Management.
You can call it from Control Panel or Run menu.
Control Panel (Category View)
Click Performance and Maintenance > Administrative Tools > Computer Management. Then choose Disk Management under Storage menu
Run Menu
Click Start > Run > Type compmgmt.msc then click OK. In the console tree, click Disk Management.
Your disks and volumes appear in a graphical view and list view. To customize, go to View menu then choose item you want to use to view your partition on Top or Bottom.
To modify partition, right click on partition and choose what action you want to do.
Remember, delete partition will also delete your files. Although you can recover your data but it is wise if you backup or moved your data before delete partition.
